Welcome
I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the
University Observatory
and the Max-Planck-Institute
for Extraterrestrial Physics
within Andi Burkert's
CAST group.
My current research interests concentrate around
the distribution and the dynamics of gas, dust and stars in nearby galactic nuclei,
the physics of the Galactic Centre of the Milky Way as well as structure Formation
in high redshift galaxies.
To study this, we use hydrodynamic simulations with the help of the
PLUTO-code as well as the
RAMSES-code.
Subsequent radiative transfer modelling with
RADMC-3D
enables us to derive observable quantities like spectral energy distributions and
surface brightness distributions and visibility information, which we
compared to observations with the largest telescopes (VLTI and ALMA),
including the use
of interferometric instruments like MIDI, MATISSE and GRAVITY.
See my
research pages
and publications
for further details, results and movies.
