Sky flat-fields

Because in K-band the night sky is bright enough to illuminate the detector sufficient for a high signal to noise flat-field, some instruments can be calibrated by a dark subtracted (filter closed) sky frame. We do not recommend this method for the ADONIS/SHARPII+ system, because of the nonuniform thermal background.
