Using the fundamental plane to unveil the history of accretion I: The local population
Assume that X-ray and Radio AGN luminosity functions down to sufficiently low luminosities describe the same population of objects
Given the fundamental plane relation (and a physical model that links LX/LEdd to the accretion rate), the conditional X-ray/Radio Luminosity Function (CLF) C would directly provide:
- The active black holes mass function (BHMF)
- The black hole accretion rate function (BHARF)
