A. Bazzano, A. Paizis and the INTEGRAL Science Team
report the detection of GRB021125 at 17:58:30 UTC
of duration 20 sec in IBIS field of view with ISGRI and PICsIT
detectors.
The event is confirmed by the SPI anticoincidence system. The most
probable preliminary position is RA 19h 47m and DEC +28.1deg.
The position uncertainty is entirely systematics and estimated
to be 30 arcmin at this early stage of INTEGRAL commissioning.
A refined position will be published as soon as possible.
The burst peak intensity was about 2-4 Crab in the energy range 15-120 keV.
This message is citable.

on behalf of the HEND/Odyssey GRB team,
W. Boynton, C. Fellows, K. Harshman, C. Shinohara and R. Starr,
on behalf of the GRS/Odyssey GRB team, and
D. M. Smith, R. P. Lin, J. McTiernan, R. Schwartz, C. Wigger, W. Hajdas,
and A. Zehnder, on behalf of the RHESSI GRB team, report:
Ulysses, Mars Odyssey-HEND, and RHESSI observed this GRB
(GCN1706) at 64710 seconds. As observed by Ulysses, it had a duration
of approximately 30 seconds, a 25-100 keV fluence of approximately
8.7E-06 erg/cm2, and a peak flux of approximately 7.8E-07 erg/cm2 s
over 0.50 seconds.
We have triangulated it to a preliminary, 3 sigma error box whose
approximate area is 111. sq. arcmin. and whose coordinates are:
RA(2000) DEC(2000)
ERROR BOX CENTER: 19 h 47 m 42.76 s 28 o 17 ' 8.06 "
ERROR BOX CORNER 1: 19 h 46 m 49.27 s 28 o 9 ' 14.20 "
ERROR BOX CORNER 2: 19 h 47 m 47.73 s 28 o 13 ' 9.68 "
ERROR BOX CORNER 3: 19 h 47 m 37.78 s 28 o 21 ' 6.43 "
ERROR BOX CORNER 4: 19 h 48 m 36.40 s 28 o 25 ' 0.85 "
Assuming that the INTEGRAL-IBIS localization is a circle
with 30 arcminute radius, this error box lies entirely
within it and reduces its area by a factor of about 25.
An image will be posted shortly at
http://ssl.berkeley.edu/ipn3/021125.
This error box may be improved.

This burst (GCN 1706, 1707) was also observed by Konus. We have
triangulated it to an improved, but still preliminary 3 sigma error box
whose approximate area is 72 sq. arcmin. and whose coordinates are:
RA(2000) DEC(2000)
ERROR BOX CENTER: 19 h 47 m 25.93 s 28 o 16 ' 0.45 "

This error box is fully contained within the INTEGRAL error circle and
overlaps the previous IPN error box (GCN 1707), but about 10 square
arcminutes in this new box are not included in the old one. A map
showing the two new triangulation annuli, the INTEGRAL error circle,
and the old error box, is being posted to
ssl.berkeley.edu/ipn3/021125.
This error box may be improved.

A. Gros (CEA-Saclay) and N. Produit (ISDC) on behalf of the INTEGRAL
Science Working Team report:
The systematic errors on the position of GRB021125 obtained from the
IBIS/ISGRI
data have been significantly reduced to a radius of 2 arcmin.
The resulting new position of the 2 arcmin-radius circle center is
19h 47m 56s, 28o 23' 28" (2000).
This circle is fully contained in the previous
INTEGRAL error circle (GCN 1706) and partially overlaps the most recent
IPN error box (GCN 1709).

E. Berger (Caltech) and D. A. Frail (NRAO) report on behalf of a larger
collaboration:
"On December 8.03 UT we used the VLA at 8.46 GHz to observe the 2-arcmin
refined error circle of GRB 021125 (GCN 1714) localized by INTEGRAL (GCN
1706). We do not detect any sources within the error circle down to a
5-sigma limit of 220 microJy. No further observations are planned"
