GCN Circular #16690
S.Mereghetti (IASF-Milano), D.Gotz (CEA, Saclay), C.Ferrigno, E.Bozzo, D.Eckert (ISDC, Versoix), and J.Borkowski (CAMK, Torun) on behalf of the IBAS Localization Team report:
a gamma ray burst lasting about 8 s has been detected by IBAS in the IBIS/ISGRI data at 21:55:05 UT of 2014 August 15.
The refined coordinates (J2000) are:

DEC.=   -8.672829
```
with an uncertainty of 2.5 arcmin (90% c.l.).
A preliminary analysis gave a peak flux of about 1 count/cm2/s (20-200 keV, 1-s integration time) and a fluence in the same energy range of about 3e-7 erg/cmq.

V. Mangano (PSU), A. Vargas (PSU) reports on behalf of the Swift-XRT team:
We have analysed 2.4 ks of XRT data for the INTEGRAL-detected burst: GRB 140815A, from 19.2 ks to 31.8 ks after the INTEGRAL trigger. The data are entirely in Photon Counting (PC) mode. An X-ray source is detected within the INTEGRAL error circle. Using 2156 s of PC mode data and 2 UVOT images, we find an enhanced XRT position (using the XRT-UVOT alignment and matching UVOT field sources to the USNO-B1 catalogue): RA, Dec = 86.89221, -8.68015 which is equivalent to:

RA (J2000): 05h 47m 34.13s
Dec(J2000): -08d 40' 48.5"
```
with an uncertainty of 2.6 arcsec (radius, 90% confidence). This position is 29 arcsec from the INTEGRAL position. We cannot determine at the present time whether the source is fading.

GRB 140815A: GROND afterglow candidate
J.F. Graham, M. Tanga and J. Greiner (all MPE Garching) report on behalf of the GROND team:
We observed the field of GRB 140815A (Mereghetti et al., GCN #16690) simultaneously in g'r'i'z'JHK with GROND (Greiner et al. 2008, PASP 120, 405) mounted at the 2.2m MPG telescope at La Silla Observatory (Chile).
Observations started at 08:17 UT on 16 August 2014, 10.37 hours after the INTEGRAL trigger. They were performed at an average seeing of 1".3 and at an average airmass of 1.5.
We report the presence of a source within the XRT error circle (Mangano et al., GCN #16691) at:

RA(J2000) = 86.89231 = 05h 47m 34.15s
Dec(J2000) = -8.68021 = -08d 40' 48.7"
```
which has the following preliminary magnitudes and upper limits (all in AB) at a mid-time of 09:30 UT:
```
g' > 24.0
r' > 24.0
i' = 23.3 +/- 0.3
z' = 22.2 +/- 0.2
J  = 21.2 +/- 0.3
H  > 20.3
K  > 19.3
```
At the moment we cannot determine whether or not the source is fading.
Given magnitudes are calibrated against GROND zero points as well as 2MASS field stars (JHK) and are not corrected for the expected Galactic foreground extinction corresponding to a reddening of E_(B-V)=1.10 mag in the direction of the burst (Schlafly & Finkbeiner 2011).
