Gamma-ray Burst 970402
A Gamma-Ray Burst was detected with the GRBM and WFC on April 2, 1997.
Quick follow-up pointings with the NFI on BeppoSAX (8 hours) find a new
X-ray source which is not detected anymore 2 days
after the GRB. This is the second fading X-ray source within a
GRB error box!

Results of Observations
- The BeppoSAX pointing on April 3 reveals a new, bright X-ray source
1SAX J1450.1-6920
within the 3 arcmin GRB error box.
The source flux is (1.5 +/- 0.5) x 10E-13 erg cmE-2 sE-1 in the MECS (2-10 keV)
and (2.0 +/- 0.6) x 10E-13 erg cmE-2 sE-1 in the LECS (0.5-10 keV).
