Scientific interests
I am interested in the complex carbon and ice chemistry of molecular cores and protoplanetary disks. Carbon bearing molecules and water -- transported from the outer solar system to Earth in icy form -- are not just necessary compounds of life as we know it, but also provide valuable insights to the physical conditions of the most dense regions of the interstellar medium. Are the theoretical chemical models consistent with observations when we consider the gas dynamics? What are the best tracers of the dynamical history? What are the initial chemical properties of a protoplanetary disk?
Other interests
In my free time I like travelling, hiking and getting to know foreign cultures. I also enjoy boardgames, food for thoughts books and mildly philosophical conversations.
