The FTIR (Fourier Transform InfraRed Spectrometer)
The CAS group operates a FTIR spectromenter (IFS 120/5HR, Bruker) capable of resolution of 0.003 cm-1. It has a number of sources, detectors and optics providing access to the wavelenght range 5 - 15000 cm-1 (0.7-2000 μm). The instrument is routinely coupled to the CASICE experiment to characterise the ice analogs in the infrared domain. It is also used to perfom high-resolution ro-vibrational spectroscopy of gaseous samples.
