Gender Equality Plan of the Max Planck Institute for extraterrestrial Physics
The present equality plan, valid for the period 2024-2026, is the second at the Institute and has been prepared by the Equal Opportunity Officer (EOO) together with a team of MPE employees and supported by all four directors, represented by the Managing director. We think of the plan as an Equal Opportunity Plan (EEO) rather than a Gender Equality Plan (GEP), as from the template. For this reason, the planned activities for the period 2024-2026 not only focus on increasing the female fraction at the institute but also focus on topics such as work-family balance and good climate in the institute for the best of all MPE members. In fact, MPE is committed to equality of opportunity and treatment for all persons, regardless of issues such as race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age or disability, or gender.
